இச்சட்டத்தின் கீழ் விதிகள் இயற்றுவதற்கான அதிகாரத்தை பயன்படுத்தி அதே 1945 - ஆம் ஆண்டில் ""தி டிரக்ஸ் அண்ட் காஸ்மடிக்ஸ் ரூல்ஸ்" கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது. இதுவும் செம்மையாக, காலத்திற்க்கு ஏற்றார் போல் திருத்தும் செய்யப்பட்டதாகும். இதன் கீழ் பின் இணைப்பு பட்டியலாக வரும் " Schedule J" ஆனது ஒரு விவகாரமான சங்கதியை சொல்கிறது.
அதாவது அதன் கீழ் வரும் 51 நோய்களுக்கு மருந்து உண்டு என்றோ, அதை மருந்தால் தடுக்க முடியும் என்றோ கூறக்கூடாது, என்று அது விதிக்கிறது.

சட்ட வகைமுறையின்படி, "ஒரு மருந்து மேற்படி பட்டியலில் காணப்படும் நோய் மற்றும் பிணிகளை தடுக்கக்கூடும் அல்லது குணமாக்ககூடும் என்ற பொருள் படும்படி தோன்றக் கூடாது அல்லது அவ்வாறு தடுக்கும் என்றோ, குணப்படுத்தும் என்றோ உரிமை கோரக் கூடாது." [Diseases and ailments (by whatever name described) which a drug may not purport to prevent or cure or make claims to prevent or cure.]

மேற்கண்ட நோய் பட்டியலானது 1945 - ஆம் ஆண்டில் ""தி டிரக்ஸ் அண்ட் காஸ்மடிக்ஸ் ரூல்ஸ்" -களின் விதி 106- லிருந்து பிறந்ததாகும். அந்த விதி 106 -இன் படி, "மருந்து பொருள் எதுவும் பின்னிணைப்பு பட்டியல் "ஜெ"-இல் குறித்துரைக்கப்பட்ட நோய்களில் அல்லது பிணிகளில் ஒன்று அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்டவற்றை தடுக்கும் அல்லது குணப்படுத்தும் என்ற பொருள் பட தோன்றக்கூடாது அல்லது உரிமை கொண்டாடக் கூடாது அல்லது அதை பயன்படுத்துபவருக்கு அது அப்படி தடுக்கலாம் அல்லது குணப்படுத்தலாம் என்ற எண்ணம் எதையும் கொடுக்கக் கூடாது" என்பதாகும். [Rule 106 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules.- Diseases which a drug may not purport to prevent or cure.—(1) No drug may purport or claim to prevent or cure or may convey to the intending user thereof any idea that it may prevent or cure one or more of the diseases or ailments specified in Schedule J.]
ஆக மேற்கண்ட 51 நோய்கள் அல்லது பிணிகளுக்கு மருந்தில்லை என்று சட்டம் சொல்கிறது.
